The Visiting Professor Lectureship is a research day which is attended by all of our orthopedic attending physicians, physician alumni, residents, fellows, research staff, and special invited guests. It includes a morning laboratory and a lunch time lecture by a keynote speaker who is an expert in their field. The lecture is followed by research presentations from the department’s graduating chief residents and fellows. The lectureship, which is held the day before graduation, provides the culminating activity for residents and fellows to showcase research done during their careers at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital.
