We understand how important it is for you to be able to visit with your loved once while they are receiving care. The visiting hours and guidelines below are in place to provide you with the ability to do so, while also ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Open to visitors from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. No children under age 12.
Critical Care Unit (CCU)
Open to visitors from 10 a.m. to noon; 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
No children. Only three visitors are permitted during one visiting period.
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Open to visitors from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Children are not permitted in the CVICU.
Catheterization Recovery (CCRU)
Open to visitors from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Children under 12 are not permitted in the CCRU.
Patients admitted to the behavioral unit may receive visitors during the following times:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Weekends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Children under 12 are not permitted in the behavioral unit.
For the well-being of patients, please limit the number of visitors to two. Additional visitors are encouraged to wait in designated areas on each patient unit.
All guests are provided a visitor pass as they enter the hospital. Please wear the pass at all times during your visit.
MedStar Union Memorial Hospital reserves the right to limit or restrict visitation. Any special requests related to visiting hours should be directed to the nurse manager of the specific unit.
