Non-Arthritic Hip Pain

About Non-Arthritic Hip Pain

There are a number of conditions not associated with arthritis that can cause hip pain. Some of the most common include fractures, inflammation in the hip joint and friction caused by abnormally shaped hip bones. How hip pain is treated depends on the cause of the pain. Treatment should be sought after an injury that limits your ability to move or perform routine activities as you normally would.

Conservative treatment is always the first and preferred approach to treating hip pain. However, when attempts to address hip pain through conservative methods are not successful, arthroscopic surgery might be necessary.
